In this week's Subscribers' Only playlist, we're highlighting one of the more interesting and influential indie labels of the past few decades: Stones Throw.
Founded by Chris Manak (aka Peanut Butter Wolf) three decades ago, Stones Throw initially made waves in the underground Hip Hop scene with iconic releases by Madlib and J Dilla.

Stones Throw is putting on a three-day festival for their 30th Anniversay in October in LA. Check it out if you're in town!
While they continue to set a gold standard in that scene, they've also moved into releasing modern Funk, Soul and Post Punk with a constant ear for groove and warm, washy, cinematic vibes.
